Galois has developed a suite of symbolic simulation and formal analysis tools, collectively called the Software Analysis Workbench (SAW). SAW provides security analysts and engineers with the ability to generate formal models from C and Java programs and prove properties of those programs using several automated verification tools.

Token-based proximity authentication methods that authenticate users based on physical proximity are effortless, but lack explicit user intentionality, which may result in accidental logins. For example, a user may get logged in when she is near a computer or just passing by, even if she does not intend to use that computer. Lack of user intentionality

Like all game changers within the horror genre, SAW was an independent success, a low-budget champion that flourished without the patronage of a big studio. Not bad for the most successful horror franchise ever, which has spawned subsidiary media and masses of merchandise, including a theme park rollercoaster ride.

Precision Sawing with Wire Saw
CIRP Annals, 1983Summary This paper deals with the development of new sawing method using wire and lapping compound. First, the mechanism of undulation generation in the sawed surfaces was analyzed, paying attention to changes in the distribution of sawing pressure applied on the wire and assuming the sawing process to be subject to Markov chains.

General-purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units (GPGPUs) became increasingly popular for a wide range of applications beyond traditional graphic rendering workloads. GPGPU exploits parallelism in applications via multithreading to hide memory latencies, and handles control complexity by barrier synchronizations.

SAW and pseudo-SAW properties using matrix methods
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 1994Pseudo-surface-waves (PSAW's), or leaky SAW's, were first recognized over 25 years ago and the phase velocity (v(p)) and attenuation per wavelength (alphalambda) of PSAW modes for nonpiezoelectrics were calculated soon after. Since the seventies progress has been made in exploiting the higher velocities and electromechanical coupling constants (K(2 ...

A case of an individual who died as a result of a self-inflicted circular saw injury to the head is presented. Death appeared to result from massive haemorrhage from injury to the superior sagittal sinus. The described mechanism of injury appears to be very unusual and may have reflected underlying issues.
