The SAX mission

SAX (X-Ray Astronomy Satellite) is a programme jointly developed by the Italian Space Agency (A.S.I.) and the Netherland Agency for Aerospace Programmes (NIVR) devoted to systematic, integrated and comprehensive studies of galactic and extragalactic sources in the energy band 0.1 – 200 KeV.

Funerals are a challenge to us bow tie wearers. Conventional neckwear is required, but you struggle to remember the Windsor knot. You can hardly sport a black tie in clinic, so you have to change on the way. In a train last week I persevered, peering at my reflection in the screen of my laptop. It turned out that I needn’t have bothered.
