Co/SBA-16 coating supported on a 3D-printed ceramic monolith for peroxymonosulfate-activated degradation of Levofloxacin.

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2023
This study reports a simple method for anchoring dispersed Co nanoparticles on SBA-16 mesoporous molecular sieve coating grown on the 3D-printed ceramic monolith (i.e., Co@SBA-16/ceramic).

Synthesis, Characterization, and Epoxidation Activity of Tungsten-Incorporated SBA-16 (W-SBA-16)

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2014
Tungsten, in varying amounts, was incorporated into a SBA-16 structure via a one-pot direct synthesis method under an acidic medium using Pluronic F127 triblock co-polymer as a template and n-butanol as a co-surfactant. Tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and sodium tungstate were used as the Si and W sources, respectively. The resulting materials (denoted

Synthesis of Mesoporous SBA-16 and SBA-16/ZnO2 Nano-Composite Thin Film for Anti-Biofilm Application

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2020
SBA-16 is a mesoporous nanostructure with high surface area and cubic symmetry which make them an ideal carrier to carry different nanoparticles. Zinc peroxide (ZnO2) is a novel nanoparticle that inhibits the growth of microorganisms due to its antiseptic property. Thin film of SBA-16 and SBA-16/ZnO2 was deposited on glass slide by spin coating method.

Rationalization of the Synthesis of SBA-16: Controlling the Micro- and Mesoporosity

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2002
The effects of the synthesis parameters on the properties of the cubic Im3m SBA-16 have been investigated systematically for the first time. We show that the total pore volume, pore diameter, and ratio micro-/mesopores can be controlled very efficiently by changing the synthesis time, temperature, and the TEOS/surfactant ratio.

Investigation of the Morphology of the Mesoporous SBA-16 and SBA-15 Materials

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2006
Mesoporous SBA-16 and SBA-15 were studied in order to control their possible morphologies. SBA-16 is synthesized using a silicon source (tetraethoxysilane, TEOS) and a ternary system consisting of surfactant F127 (EO106PO70EO106), water, and butanol. The same ternary system, with higher butanol concentration, is used to form SBA-15 material as well. An
