Mapping overall taiyuan graben basin deformation with SBAS-InSAR technique
2016 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2016Taiyuan graben basin has been suffering serious ground deformation due to the combined effects of groundwater pumping, ground fissures and faults. However, most ground deformation monitoring mainly focus on the single city, thus it is difficult to reveal the regional extent of the deformation.

A World Natural Heritage Site, Jiuzhaigou, is the first nature reserve in China whose primary purpose is to protect natural scenery. On August 8, 2017, a Ms 7.0 earthquake caused many unstable slopes in Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan Province, China. In the extreme storm conditions that follow, the unstable slopes tend to develop into potential landslides, which ...

Exploring local relationships between SBAS-InSAR Data and Groundwater Level
2023This paper endeavours to evaluate if the relationship between the groundwater variation and the surface movement can be remotely detected in the Punjab, India. Monitoring by proxy the groundwater reserves is a high-stake objective as well for scientists as governmental agencies, and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data has the advantage to be free of ...

Monitoring Surface Deformation of Transmission Corridors in Mountain Areas Based on SBAS-INSAR
IGARSS 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2019Conventional measurement methods with low spatial resolution, differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar (D-InSAR) is susceptible to signal decorrelation and atmospheric delay, so InSAR time series analysis is widely used for detection and monitoring of slow surface deformation.

Integrating PS-InSAR and SBAS-InSAR for mining surface settlement monitoring
Journal of Mines, Metals and Fuels, 2022Based on 38 Sentinel-1A images, this paper imports GCP points generated by PS-InSAR into SBAS-InSAR, instead of manually selected GCP points, extracts surface deformation in the study area, and compares and analyzes with traditional GPS monitoring data.

SBAS-InSAR analysis of surface deformation at Mauna Loa and Kilauea volcanoes in Hawaii
2009 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2009We investigate the deformation of Mauna Loa and Kilauea volcanoes, Hawaii, by exploiting the advanced differential Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry (InSAR) technique referred to as the Small BAseline Subset (SBAS) algorithm. In particular, we present time series of line-of-sight (LOS) displacements derived from SAR data acquired by the ASAR ...
