Living bio-sludge from domestic wastewater treatment plant was used as adsorbent of heavy metals (Pb(2+), Ni(2+)) and its adsorption capacity was about 10-30% reduced by autoclaving at 110 degrees C for 10 min. The living bio-sludge acclimatized in synthetic industrial estate wastewater (SIEWW) without heavy metals showed the highest Pb(2+) and Ni(2 ...

Abstract This paper describes the advantageous cross-fertilization of solution-masterbatch technology and powdered-rubber processing. A nonlatex method has been developed for the preparation of free-flowing solution-SBR powders. The factors affecting powder particle size and morphology have been identified.

Tack and Green Strength of NR, SBR and NR/SBR Blends
Abstract 1. A simple NR compound has superior tack compared to an SBR stock because of its greater ability to flow under compressive load and its higher green strength. The difference becomes greater as surface roughness is increased or test rate decreased. Tack differences between the two stocks can be quantitatively explained without assuming

Petroleum Pitch as a Plasticizer for SBR and SBR Blends
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1974Abstract Two petroleum pitch products have been shown to impart greater stiffness and hardness, and lower rebound properties to SBR and SBR/BR vulcanizate systems, through unusual molecular interaction effects. These solid pitch materials can be used alone as plasticizers or in combination with conventional aromatic extender oils.

Abstract Changes in properties of vulcanized SBR during aging at 130° C in air are the result of reactions involving both the hydrocarbon and the crosslinks. Hydrocarbon oxidation is related to the overall rate of oxidation; it leads to both scission and crosslinking. Sulfur crosslinks are broken and new crosslinks formed in reactions which are

Characterization of AN-SBR/Silica compound with acrylonitrile as a polar group in SBR
Macromolecular Research, 2012In this study, acrylonitrile-styrene-butadiene rubber (AN-SBR), in which polar monomer acrylonitrile was introduced to emulsion styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) as the 3rd monomer, was applied to silica compound to examine the various properties that are required for tire tread compound. The mechanical properties of the AN-SBR compounds, the modulus, and

LP-SBR-2015-01 Linlithgow Palace SBR
2015A standing building survey was carried out at Linlithgow Palace. The main focus of the work was the south range, a space within the palace that has been subject to extensive alteration but little recording, and which contains significant levels of decorative stone work, sculpture and mouldings.

Properties of Recycled PS/SBR Blends: Effect of SBR Pretreatment
Progress in Rubber, Plastics and Recycling Technology, 2016The properties of recycled styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) blended with virgin polystyrene (PS) have been investigated over a wide range of concentrations (0–94% wt. SBR). The compounds were prepared by twin-screw extrusion followed by injection molding.

Influence of oil content and SBR type on blowout behaviors of SBR composites
Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, 2009Abstract Blowout behaviors of carbon black-reinforced SBR composites were studied using a microwave oven and influence of the oil content and the SBR type on the blowout behaviors was investigated. Morphology of the interior of the sample before exploding was observed and change of the crosslink density was also measured.

Distribution of Carbon Black in SBR
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1977Abstract The interparticle distance between black aggregates in rubber was estimated by Fraunhofer diffraction with the mask of an electron micrograph of filled rubber. Up to 40 phr, the distribution of interpartiele distance has a sharp peak centered at 8000 A˚ with 20 phr and at 7000 A˚ with 40 phr.
