Energy efficiency, latency and reliability trade‐offs in M2M uplink scheduling

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 15, Issue 15, Page 1907-1916, September 2021., 2021
Abstract Issues of energy efficiency, latency and reliability have engaged researchers' attention in wireless communications for a long time due to their importance in the dependable delivery of data over wireless networks. The emergence of M2M communication and IoT has intensified this attention because energy efficiency and latency are critical ...

Least Mean Square Frequency Domain Equalization for MIMO SC-FDMA System

open access: yesZanco Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences, 2019
Because single carrier modulation has low peak average power ratio (PAPR), it is used instead of multicarrier modulation in uplink transmission in Long Term Evolution (LTE).

Application of 5G new radio for satellite links with low peak‐to‐average power ratios

open access: yesInternational Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, Volume 39, Issue 4, Page 445-454, July/August 2021., 2021
The paper studies feasibity of 5G new radio signal to satellite system. It shows that this is possible with some changes to the standard, some to device algorithms, and knowhow about selecting suitable system parameters. In particular, initial synchronization, uplink random access, and low (2‐dB level) PAPR issues were studied.

Impact of radio resource allocation and pulse shaping on PAPR of SC-FDMA signals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
"Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access" (SC-FDMA) is a strong candidate for uplink transmissions in the 3G Long Term Evolution (LTE) standard.

Performance Evaluation of Low Density Spreading Multiple Access [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, we evaluate the performance of Multicarrier-Low Density Spreading Multiple Access (MC-LDSMA) as a multiple access technique for mobile communication systems. The MC-LDSMA technique is compared with current multiple access techniques, OFDMA

Frequency-domain precoding for single carrier frequency-division multiple access [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
At present there is considerable interest in the use of single carrier frequency-division multiple access. This interest is justified by the inherent single carrier structure of the SC-FDMA scheme, which is more robust against phase noise and has a lower

Performance Analysis of a Modified SC-FDMA-DSCDMA Technique for 4G Wireless Communication

open access: yesJournal of Computer Networks and Communications, 2014
Single-carrier FDMA (SC-FDMA) is becoming more and more popular in multiuser communication because of its lower PAPR value. Apart from this, many other hybrid access techniques have also been explored in the literature for application to 4G wireless ...

Frequency-Domain Turbo Equalisation in Coded SC-FDMA Systems: EXIT Chart Analysis and Performance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, we investigate the achievable performance of channel coded single-carrier frequency division multiple-access (SC-FDMA) systems employing various detection schemes, when communicating over frequency-selective fading channels.

Prostorno-frekvencijsko blok kodiranje sa odsjecanjem i filtriranjem kao tehnika predajni diverziti u SC-FDMA [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The paper presents Space-Frequency Block Coding (SFBC) as a transmit diversity technique in Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA). SC-FDMA is known as a low Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) modulation technique.
