We describe a new realization of supersymmetry, called scalar supersymmetry, acting in spaces of differential forms (bi-spinors), where transformation parameters are Lorentz scalars instead of spinors. The realization is related but is not reducible to the standard supersymmetry.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Scalar–tensor baryogenesis: a scalar–tensor completion of gravitational baryogenesis
We propose Scalar–Tensor Baryogenesis (STB), in which the CP-violating bias needed for baryogenesis is sourced by the gravitational scalars that appear in scalar–tensor representations of modified gravity.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Studies of Light Scalar Particles and Dressed Gauge Propagators in QCD [PDF]
The equations of QCD are widely believed to describe the properties of mesons, baryons and their hadronisation after hard interactions at particle accelerators such as the LHC.

Scalar gravity and higgs mechanism
The role that the auxiliary scalar field phi plays in Brans-Dicke cosmology is discussed. If a constant vacuum energy is assumed to be the origin of dark energy, then the corresponding density parameter would be a quantity varying with phi; and almost ...

Spectrum of scalar-scalar bound states [PDF]
An exactly solvable, Barbieri-Remiddi-like equation for bound states of two scalar constituents interacting with massless vector particles is presented for both stable and unstable particles. With the help of this equation the bound state spectrum is calculated to O({alpha}{sup 4}) for a SU(N) non-Abelian gauge theory.

Scalar inferences (SIs) are upper-bounding inferences associated with the use of semantically lower-bounded scalar expressions. One of the current debates regarding these inferences concerns their inferential pattern, specifically whether SIs are uniform

Two-real-scalar-singlet extension of the SM: LHC phenomenology and benchmark scenarios
We investigate the LHC phenomenology of a model where the Standard Model (SM) scalar sector is extended by two real scalar singlets. A $${{\mathbb {Z}}_2} \otimes {{\mathbb {Z}}_2} '$$ Z2⊗Z2′ discrete symmetry is imposed to reduce the number of scalar ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
