Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

In asymptotically anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetime, we consider a real massive scalar field in the Einstein–Maxwell-Scalar (EMS) model and examine both scalar-hairy black hole solutions induced by the nonminimal coupling to the Maxwell field and tachyonic ...

Revisiting the theory of scalar cloud: Kerr-Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton-Axion black hole
In this work, we present the novel exact scalar cloud solution in the Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton-Axion (EMDA) theory. Traditionally, the scalar cloud is examined using an approximation approach known as the AAM technique, which operates in the ultralight ...

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Joint stereo-PIV and NO-LIF in turbulent premixed hydrogen-air flames [PDF]
A new technique to simultaneously and instantaneously resolve 3D velocity/2D strain rate fields and scalar/scalar gradient fields was developed and evaluated in this study.

Multiple-interval timing in rats: Performance on two-valued mixed fixed-interval schedules
Three experiments studied timing in rats on two-valued mixed-FI schedules, with equally probable components, FI S and FI L. When the L/S ratio was greater than 4, two distinct response peaks appeared close to FI S and L, and data could be well-fitted ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.
