Weighted competition scale-free network

Physical Review E, 2004
While many scale-free (SF) networks have been introduced recently for complex systems, most of them are binary random graphs and the rate at which the node in the network increases its connectivity depends on the time it arrived. We propose a model of weighted scale-free networks incorporating a fit-gets-richer scheme which means the connectivity of ...

EVOLVING SCALE-FREE NETWORK MODEL

International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2008
The Barabási–Albert (BA) model is extended here to include the concept of modifying the preferential attachment and combining the global preferential attachment with local preferential attachment. Our preferential attachment makes the nodes with higher degree increase less rapidly than the BA model after a long time.

Self-organized scale-free networks

Physical Review E, 2005
Growth and preferential attachments have been coined as the two fundamental mechanisms responsible for the scale-free feature in complex networks, as characterized by an algebraic degree distribution. There are situations, particularly in biological networks, where growth is absent or not important, yet some of these networks still exhibit the scale ...

Scale-free multicomponent growing networks

Physical Review E, 2004
We propose a multicomponent growing network model which consists of many types of nodes as well as links only between the nodes of different types. Such a multicomponent network is constructed by (i) introducing a new node of one type and immediately linking it to a preexisting node of the other type, and (ii) creating a new link between two nodes of ...
