A cubed-sphere based method for global and regional modeling of the lithospheric magnetic field

open access: yesEarth and Planetary Physics
The Earth’s magnetic field, which has been extensively observed from ground to satellite altitudes over several decades, originates from multiple sources, such as the core dynamo, the conductive mantle, the magnetized lithosphere, and the space current ...

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

An alternative regularization approach for modeling the regional lithospheric magnetic field from satellite magnetic measurements by the spherical equivalent source method and its application in Africa

open access: yesEarth and Planetary Physics
The equivalent source (ES) method in the spherical coordinate system has been widely applied to processing, reduction, field modeling, and geophysical and geological interpretation of satellite magnetic anomaly data.

La question des échelles en géohistoire. Les bureaux de la poste aux lettres du XVIIIe siècle à nos jours

open access: yesCybergeo, 2018
Starting from a practice of research that has been going back for years on the question of the use of scales in geohistorical works, this text offers a reflection on the plays of scale, as well as on the question of the MAUP (modifiable areal unit ...

A multiresolution framework for local similarity based image denoising [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, we present a generic framework for denoising of images corrupted with additive white Gaussian noise based on the idea of regional similarity.

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Revised global vertically integrated remanent magnetization model of the oceanic lithosphere with comparison to LCS-1 model and MSS-1 magnetic measurements

open access: yesEarth and Planetary Physics
The lithospheric magnetic field is an important component of the geomagnetic field, and the oceanic lithosphere exhibits distinct characteristics. Because of its formation mechanisms, evolutionary history, and geomagnetic field polarity reversals, the ...

Coseismic Rupture Geometry and Slip Rupture Process During the 2018 Mw 7.1 Anchorage, South‐Central Alaska Earthquake: Intraplate Normal Faulting by Slab Tear Constrained by Geodetic and Teleseismic Data

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, 2020
The Mw 7.1 Anchorage earthquake on 30 November 2018 beneath the south‐central Alaska is a rare intermediate‐depth event larger than Mw 7 that occurred in a complex subduction region, where the young Yakutat oceanic terrane wedges in the continental ...

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.
