The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

Review of Economic Dynamics, 2004
Abstract This note presents a simple extension of the seminal Romer (1990, Journal of Political Economy 98(2), 71–102) paper. Allowing for elasticity of substitution between labor and capital to be different from one (CES production function instead of Cobb–Douglas), the following results are obtained.

Effectiveness of a calculus scaling gel
Journal of Clinical Periodontology, 1994Abstract. This study evaluated the effect of a calculus scaling gel (SofScale TM) on time and ease of the scaling procedure in a double‐blind, split‐mouth clinical study of 32 subjects. The Volpe‐Manhold calculus index was used to quantify the distribution and amount of calculus deposition on the lingual aspect of the man‐dibular 6 anterior teeth at ...

Weak-scale effective supersymmetry
Physical Review Letters, 1990The idea of supersymmetry at the weak scale should be tested without regard to the Planck-scale origin of any specific model. A class of low-energy effective supersymmetric theories is derived from four assumptions: minimal field content, {ital R}-parity conservation, absence of quadratic divergences, and naturalness of near-flavor conservation ...
