ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Numerical Compensation of Air Absorption of Sound in Scale Model Measurements

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2013
The absorption of sound in air represents one of the main problems of the scale model measurements. This absorption, especially at higher frequencies, is considerably greater than the value determined by the law of acoustical similarity between the ...

Stoichiometric knife-edge model on discrete time scale

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
Ecological stoichiometry is the study of the balance of multiple elements in ecological interactions and processes (Sterner and Elser in Ecological Stoichiometry: The Biology of Elements from Molecules to the Biosphere, 2002).

Predictions of a model of weak scale from dynamical breaking of scale invariance

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2015
We consider a model where the weak and the DM scale arise at one loop from the Coleman–Weinberg mechanism. We perform a precision computation of the model predictions for the production cross section of a new Higgs-like scalar and for the direct ...

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Effects of blastocyst elongation and implantation chamber formation on the alignment of the embryonic axis and uterine axis in mice

open access: yesFrontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology
Embryo implantation involves a series of events that bring the embryo and maternal tissues into contact to support post-implantation development in mammals.

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.
