Scale ratio ICP for 3D point clouds with different scales

2013 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2013
In this paper we propose a method for matching the scales of 3D point clouds. 3D point sets of the same scene obtained by 3D reconstruction techniques usually differ in scale. To match scales, we estimate the ratio of scales of two given 3D point clouds.

Relative Pose Estimation for Multi-Camera Systems from Point Correspondences with Scale Ratio

ACM Multimedia, 2022
The use of multi-camera systems is becoming more common in self-driving cars, micro aerial vehicles or augmented reality headsets. In order to perform 3D geometric tasks, the accuracy and efficiency of relative pose estimation algorithms are very ...

On ratio scales

Measurement, 2013
Abstract In the past, ratio scales have been a highly controversial issue between physicists and psychologists as regards the need for an empirical addition operation in order to attain them. This aspect is critical since such an operation is often unavailable in psychophysical experiments, as it is in physics, due to its intensive properties.

A Ratio Scale Measurement of Conformity [PDF]

open access: possibleEducational and Psychological Measurement, 1989
Since the seminal work on conformity, there has been a steady stream of research attempting to isolate individual and situational variables that influence its expression. Most previous studies have employed either proportions of participants showing conformity or have used Likert scales to measure changes in conformity as a function of different ...

Ratio-and-Scale-Aware YOLO for Pedestrian Detection

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2020
Current deep learning methods seldom consider the effects of small pedestrian ratios and considerable differences in the aspect ratio of input images, which results in low pedestrian detection performance.

Evolutionary Large-Scale Multiobjective Optimization for Ratio Error Estimation of Voltage Transformers

IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, 2020
Ratio error (RE) estimation of the voltage transformers (VTs) plays an important role in modern power delivery systems. Existing RE estimation methods mainly focus on periodical calibration but ignore the time-varying property.

Learning to Reduce Scale Differences for Large-Scale Invariant Image Matching

IEEE transactions on circuits and systems for video technology (Print), 2023
Most image matching methods perform poorly when encountering large scale changes in images. To solve this problem, we propose a Scale-Difference-Aware Image Matching method (SDAIM) that reduces image scale differences before local feature extraction, via

Communicating With Extremely Large-Scale Array/Surface: Unified Modeling and Performance Analysis

IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2021
Wireless communications with extremely large-scale array (XL-array) correspond to systems whose antenna sizes are so large that conventional modeling assumptions, such as uniform plane wave (UPW) impingement, are no longer valid.
