The Role of Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation in Ataxia‐Telangiectasia
ABSTRACT Background Ataxia‐telangiectasia (A‐T) is a DNA repair disorder characterized by neurodegeneration, immunodeficiency, and cancer predisposition. Hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is an established therapy in related disorders such as Fanconi anemia (FA) and Nijmegen breakage syndrome (NBS), but its role in A‐T is unclear.

Scaling and allometry in the building geometries of Greater London
Many aggregate distributions of urban activities such as city sizes reveal scaling but hardly any work exists on the properties of spatial distributions within individual cities, notwithstanding considerable knowledge about their fractal structure.

Evaluation of Three Techniques for Correcting the Spatial Scaling Bias of Leaf Area Index
The correction of spatial scaling bias on the estimate of leaf area index (LAI) retrieved from remotely sensed data is an essential issue in quantitative remote sensing for vegetation monitoring.

Supporting Survivor‐Centered Care Through Digital Health Integration
ABSTRACT Survivors of childhood cancer face barriers to receiving guideline‐based, long‐term follow‐up care. Two digital tools, Passport for Care (PFC) and Cancer SurvivorLink (SurvivorLink), address complementary gaps by enabling tailored survivorship care plan (SCP) generation, updating, storage, and sharing.

ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

Algorithm for Scaling Variables in Minimization Methods
Eliminating poor scaling of variables of minimized functions is a pressing issue in solving high-dimensional minimization problems where it is impossible to use methods that change the metric of the space with full-scale metric matrices.

On the Numerical Simulation of HPDEs Using θ-Weighted Scheme and the Galerkin Method
Herein, an efficient algorithm is proposed to solve a one-dimensional hyperbolic partial differential equation. To reach an approximate solution, we employ the θ-weighted scheme to discretize the time interval into a finite number of time steps.

Aggregation on Finite Ordinal Scales by Scale Independent Functions [PDF]
In this article, three types of scale-independent functions aggregating finite ordinal numerical scales are studied. These are (1) functions mapping \(n\) copies of a scale into the very scale, (2) functions mapping \(n\) copies of a scale into a scale, and (3) functions mapping \(n\) scales into a scale.

Dietary Protein Intake and Peritoneal Protein Losses in Peritoneal Dialysis Patients
ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients lose protein in their waste dialysate, potentially increasing their risk for malnutrition. We wished to determine whether there was any association between losses and dietary protein intake (DPI). Methods DPI was assessed from 24‐h dietary recall using Nutrics software.

A Novel and Efficient Numerical Algorithm for Solving 2D Fredholm Integral Equations
A novel and efficient numerical method is developed based on interpolating scaling functions to solve 2D Fredholm integral equations (FIE). Using the operational matrix of integral for interpolating scaling functions, FIE reduces to a set of algebraic ...
