It is shown that a joint scaling test developed by Tan (1974) is closely related to the widely used standard Cavalli joint scaling test (described by Mather and Jinks, 1971) which was not referred to in Tan's paper. With the numbers of individuals per generation observed in practice, the two tests give essentially similar results. The Cavalli procedure

Small-scale tests of inflation [PDF]
We investigate small-scale signatures of the inflationary particle content. We consider the case of a light spin-2 particle sourcing primordial gravitational waves by employing an effective field theory description. Upon allowing time-dependent sound speeds for the helicity modes, this setup delivers a blue tensor spectrum detectable, for example, by ...

Practical Mutation Testing at Scale
Mutation analysis assesses a test suite's adequacy by measuring its ability to detect small artificial faults, systematically seeded into the tested program. Mutation analysis is considered one of the strongest test-adequacy criteria. Mutation testing builds on top of mutation analysis and is a testing technique that uses mutants as test goals to ...

Scaling testing of refactoring engines [PDF]
Researchers have proposed a number of automated techniques for testing refactoring engines. However, they may have limitations related to the program generator, time consumption, kinds of bugs, and debugging. We propose a technique to scale testing of refactoring engines.

Test Strategies for Multi-Voltage Designs [PDF]
Reducing the power consumption of digital designs through the use of more than one Vdd value (Multi-Voltage) is known and well practiced. Some manufacturing defects have Vdd-dependency, which implies defects can become active only at certain power supply

Bridging fault test method with adaptive power management awareness [PDF]
A key design constraint of circuits used in handheld devices is the power consumption, mainly due to battery life limitations. Adaptive power management (APM) techniques aim to increase the battery life of such devices by adjusting the supply voltage and

Scaling of fracture response in Over-height Compact Tension tests [PDF]
An experimental investigation into in-plane scaled Over-height Compact Tension (OCT) [45/90/-45/0]4s carbon/epoxy laminates was carried out to study the scaling of fracture response.

Inheritance Analysis of Grain Yield and Contributing Traits in Rice Through Six Populations Under Normal and Water Deficit Conditions [PDF]
Inheritance of yield and yield contributing traits for three crosses namely Sakha 108/IET 1444, Sakha 104/IRAT 170, and Sakha 107/Moroberekan were used to evaluate six populations including P1, P2, F1, F2, BC1, and BC2 for each cross.
