A Test of the Zucherman Heterosexual Scales
Journal of Personality Assessment, 1975Female and male undergraduate students enrolled in the introductory psychology course were administered the Zuckerman heterosexual scale as part of a larger battery of tests. The ordering of items for males was very similar to Zuckerman's with two minor exceptions.

Testing the allometric scaling laws
Journal of Theoretical Biology, 2004Allometric scaling laws have received increasing attention due to the recent theoretical advancements. However, existing evidence suggests that the scaling relationships may vary a lot without much consistency, which poses a challenge to the applicability of general theories. In this report, I demonstrate that much of the discrepancy may be an artefact

An Adaptive Location-Scale Test
Biometrical Journal, 2001Summary: Increasing locations are often accompanied by an increase in variability. In this case apparent heteroscedasticity can indicate that there are treatment effects and it is appropriate to consider an alternative involving differences in location as well as in scale. As a location-scale test the sum of a location and a scale test statistic can be

Validity Test of the Dogmatism Scale
Psychological Reports, 1970An analysis of Dogmatism scores among authoritarians of the right and left supports Rokeach's contention that his scale taps general authoritarianism. However, examination of the correlations between the Dogmatism scale and the rightist and leftist authoritarianism subscales does not support the view that authoritarians of the right and the left are ...

A Distribution Free Test for the Equality of Scales
Communications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, 2012Situations where scale parameters are not nuisance factors to be controlled but outcomes to be explained arise in many contexts such as quality control, agricultural production systems, experimental education, the pharmaceutical industry and biology. Tests for homogeneity of variances are often of interest also as a preliminary to analysis of variance,

DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING OF THE AIDS PSYCHOSOCIAL SCALE
Psychological Reports, 1992The dramatic spread of AIDS globally has placed it high on the world health agenda. Since no medical or technological solution to the problem is near at hand and given the fact that the HIV virus is heavily reliant on human sexual behaviours for transmission, tackling the problem of AIDS rests on addressing change of sexual behaviour.
