Scandium chloride, alkyl and phenyl complexes of diamido-donor ligands

open access: yesJ. Chem. Soc., Dalton Trans., 2002
Reactions of the lithiated diamido-pyridine and -amine ligands Li2N2TMSNpy or Li2N2NC2,TMS with ScCl3 in tetrahydrofuran (THF) afforded the five-coordinate scandium chloride derivatives [Sc(N2TMSNpy)Cl(THF)] 1 and [Sc(N2NC2,TMS)Cl(THF)] 2 where N2TMSNpy = MeC(2-C5H4N)(CH2NSiMe3)2 and N2NC2,TMS = Me3SiN(CH2CH2NSiMe3)2.

Studies of Scandium in Various Solutions. II. The Extraction of Scandium(III) with Tributyl Phosphate from Perchlorate-Chloride and Perchlorate-Nitrate Media [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1966
Abstract The distribution of scandium(III) between organic tributyl phosphate solutions and aqueous perchlorate, nitrate, chloride solutions or mixed solutions of perchlorate-nitrate, perchlorate-chloride has been determined. The distribution of scandium between 50% tributyl phosphate - chloroform and 4 m H(Cl, ClO4) or 4 ...

High‐Power Rapid Laser‐Induced Synthesis of Multi‐functional Cobalt Metal‐Organic Framework With an Unprecedented Synthesis Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Laser‐assisted synthesis enables rapid (within 1 h) and high‐yield (≥90%) production of Co‐MOFs with mesoporous structures, tunable magnetic and optical properties, and efficient adsorption of N2, CH4, and CO2 for low‐energy gas separation. DFT calculations elucidate the electronic structure and adsorption behavior.

Microneedles Mediated Delivery of Nanodiamonds for Quantum Sensing of Free Radicals in Skin Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Fluorescent nanodiamonds are nanoscale sensors capable of monitoring cellular stress responses. However, to function effectively, they must be delivered into cells or tissues. Here, we demonstrate their application in the skin by developing a dissolvable microneedle platform that dissolves after skin insertion, enabling the delivery of nanodiamonds ...

Nuclear magnetic resonance study of metallic scandium chlorides [PDF]

open access: yes, 1978
The /sup 45/Sc nuclear magnetic resonance was studied in samples having the general composition CsSc/sub x/Cl/sub 3/ (0.67 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 1.0) in the CsCl-ScCl/sub 3/-Sc system. In particular the structure of CsScCl/sub 3/ suggests that it may be a one-dimensional conductor, and an attempt was therefore made to detect the

Unveiling the Hidden Geometry of OECTs: Contact‐Semiconductor Overlap Driven Errors in Volumetric Capacitance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work examines how contact–semiconductor overlap influences volumetric capacitance extraction in organic electrochemical transistors as device dimensions shrink. It shows that neglecting overlap leads to systematic, geometry‐driven errors in capacitance values.

Complexаtion of scandium upon its extraction by N-(2-hydroxy-5-nonylbenzyl)-β-hydroxyethylmethylamine (NBEA-2) from chloride solutions in octanol

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2010
Chemical aspects of scandium solvent extraction from its chloride solutions at pH 3.0-4.5 by N-(2-hydroxy-5-nonylbenzyl)-β-hydroxyethylmethylamine solutions in octanol have been studied. The extraction mechanism has been suggested.

Perivascular Matrix Densification Dysregulates Angiogenesis and Activates Pro‐Inflammatory Endothelial Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

Physical Origin of Temperature Induced Activation Energy Switching in Electrically Conductive Cement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The temperature‐induced Arrhenius activation energy switching phenomenon of electrical conduction in electrically conductive cement originates from structural degradation within the biphasic ionic‐electronic conduction architecture and shows percolation‐governed characteristics: pore network opening dominates the low‐percolation regime with downward ...
