The anodic dissolution of covellite in acidic, chloride solutions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
An electrochemical study was conducted on a stationary, synthetically produced, covellite electrode in acidic, chloride solutions at ambient conditions to investigate the dissolution behaviour of the mineral over a surface potential range from the open ...

Screen-printed potentiometric Ag/AgCl chloride sensors: Lifetime performance and their use in soil salt measurements

open access: yes, 2011
Silver – silver chloride electrodes (Ag/AgCl) for the detection of chloride ions were fabricated using thick-film technology. Five different formulations were prepared and chloride responses were investigated over time.

Ultra‐Radiostable Covalent Conformationally Interlocked Networks Enabling a Universal Radiometal‐Labeling Platform for Cancer Radioembolization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Conjugated poly(imide dioxime)‐based microspheres establish a radiometal coordination‐driven conformational interlocked network with ultra‐high radiostability. This platform enables low‐temperature, multi‐radionuclide labeling for SPECT/PET/MRI imaging and radionuclide therapy. Mechanistic insights from EXAFS and DFT reveal enhanced stability, while in

Scandium-Substituted Na3Zr2(SiO4)2(PO4) Prepared by a Solution-Assisted Solid-State Reaction Method as Sodium-Ion Conductors

open access: yes, 2016
As possible electrolyte materials for all-solid-state Na-ion batteries (NIBs), scandium-substituted Na3Zr2(SiO4)2(PO4) in the structure of NASICONs (Na superionic conductors) has received hardly any attention so far, although among all the trivalent ...

Dual‐Functional Silent‐Region SERS Nanoplatform for Real‐Time Bacterial Tracking and Wound Healing Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bacterial wound infections, particularly those caused by Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, are difficult to treat due to biofilm formation, multidrug resistance, and chronic inflammation. Here, we report a multifunctional nanoplatform based on a surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) probe that enables simultaneous photodynamic ...

Anodic oxidation of additively manufactured Sc-doped Al–Mg alloy in aqueous cerium (III) nitrate for corrosion protection

open access: yesJournal of Materials Science: Materials in Engineering
Additively manufactured scandium-doped AA5083 aluminum-magnesium alloy (AA5083-Sc) has a higher yield strength compared to the undoped version. However, AA5083-Sc is prone to pitting and microbiologically induced corrosion in seawater.

QRICH1 Disrupts Endoplasmic Reticulum Homeostasis and Amplifies NF‐κB Signaling in Periodontal Ligament Stem Cells to Exacerbate Diabetic Periodontitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
QRICH1 has been established as a key factor contributing to impaired osteogenic potential and accelerated apoptosis of PDLSCs in diabetic periodontitis. QRICH1 not only significantly enhances UPR‐associated apoptotic signaling but also amplifies NF‐κB‐mediated inflammatory responses. Its inhibition restores osteogenic capacity and reduces alveolar bone

Thermodynamic provision of production methods of scandium alloys by electrolysis of chloride melts

open access: yes, 1992
There the chloride melts and the metallic alloys, which contain the scandium, have been studied. The paper purpose is to study the thermodynamic properties and the state of scandium in the chloride melts and in the alloys with the fusible metals.

Harmonizing Rigidity and Flexibility: Embedding COF Quantum Dots Into Extracellular Matrix Gel as Carbon Monoxide Depot for Acoustically Triggered Time‐Programmable Anti‐Infective Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rigid‑flexible integrated CO depot is engineered by embedding rigid COFQDs into a flexible ECM gel network. The rigid framework enables high‑capacity CO storage and sonodynamic bacterial killing, while the flexible ECM gel controls sustained CO release, collectively eradicating multidrug‑resistant infection and promoting scarless healing.
