1978Some 500 patients have undergone abdominal scans with a phased array system designed for abdominal use. The device has proved to be simple in operation and the mobility of the probe as well as speeding examinations, provides the observer with a 3 dimensional concept of the tissue being scanned that is a great clinical benefit.

[Scanner-guided biopsy technic with abdominal compression].
Journal de radiologie, 1999The aim of this study was to present a CT-guided biopsy technique using an abdominal compression device. With this system, the digestive structures (mainly the colon and the small bowel) can be displaced away from the needle track and the distance between the skin and the target lesion can be reduced by approximately one-third.
