Some 500 patients have undergone abdominal scans with a phased array system designed for abdominal use. The device has proved to be simple in operation and the mobility of the probe as well as speeding examinations, provides the observer with a 3 dimensional concept of the tissue being scanned that is a great clinical benefit.
