XY table and tilting stage for scanning electron microscope (SEM)
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1975This paper describes a low−vibration specimen stage in which the specimen is held by a block which slides on Teflon pads over the lower surface of the SEM lens. It provides X, Y, and tilting motions.

International Symposium for Testing and Failure Analysis, 2002
Abstract Recent developments in transmission electron microscopy (TEM) sample preparation have greatly reduced the time and cost for preparing thin samples. In this paper, a method is demonstrated for viewing thin samples in transmission in an unmodified scanning electron microscope (SEM) using an easily constructed sample holder ...

Scanning electron microscopic (SEM) study of rats aorta exposed to chlopyrifos
2013Atherosclerosis is defined as a slow process of inflammation fuelled by deposition of lipids. The pathogenesis of atherosclerotic changes is associated with low High Density Lipid (HDL) and the mechanism is believed to be due to the low level of paraoxonase 1 (PON-1) located on it.

A scanning electron microscope (SEM) study of the smear layer in root canals.
Journal of Marmara University Dental Faculty, 1991A Scanning Electron Microscope was used to study the so-called "smear layer" produced in biomechanically prepared root canals. Fine, freshly-extracted incisors were used and the canals instrumented with K-type files and irrigated with 5% NaOCI and 3% H2O2. The structure of the "smear layer" produced was investigated.

Biodeterioration of treated wood with fungicides: study by scanning electron microscope (sem)
1997This study was carried out to treatment of wooden samples with some fungicide compounds and testing of resistibility of treated wood to fungal deterioration for determination of the best treatment against biodeterioration of wood. Two compounds of fungicides were used, these compounds were: Pentachlorophenol and Sodium fluoride.
