Multi-Spectral Imaging in Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy

Biomedical Optics, 1999
Fundus imaging is an important diagnostic tool in ophthalmology. The most common instrument used for recording fundus images is the fundus camera.

Imaging of Epiretinal Membranes in Macular Holes by Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy. J

Retina, 1996
Because recognition and removal of an epiretinal membrane are important in macular hole surgery, we used the scanning laser ophthalmoscope preoperatively to study epiretinal membranes in patients with idiopathic macular holes. We studied 67 eyes (60 consecutive patients) with idiopathic macular holes.

Scanning laser polarimetry and confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscopy: technical notes on their use in glaucoma

2008
The mere intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement and the visual field (VF) examination do not allow early primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) diagnosis. At present, the morphological and morphometric analysis of the optic disk is considered very important for an early diagnosis and follow-up of the disease.

Improvements in Colour Fundus Imaging Using Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy

Lasers in Medical Science, 2001
The objective of this study was to examine the properties of two laser lines 514 nm and 532 nm when used to image the retina with a scanning laser ophthalmoscope (SLO), and to compare the images taken with a simultaneous multiple wavelength SLO, to those taken with a fundus camera.

Confocal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy Findings in Chronic Solar Retinopathy

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2008
A 68-year-old man with solar retinopathy had a lamellar foveal lesion on ophthalmoscopy and optical coherence tomography in one eye while the fellow eye appeared unremarkable. However, macular imaging by means of confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (reflectance imaging and autofluorescence) revealed alterations in both eyes.

Scanning laser ophthalmoscopy. Clinical applications.

Ophthalmology, 1982
The scanning laser ophthalmoscope (SLO) provides a high-quality television image of the retina using less than 1/1000 of the light required for conventional indirect ophthalmoscopy. The SLO employs a new ophthalmoscopic principle in which a dim laser beam scans across the fundus, and light is collected only from one retinal point at a time.

Characterization of Artifacts Associated With Multicolor Confocal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2017
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: To characterize the appearance of three types of artifacts observed on multicolor confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (cSLO). PATIENTS AND METHODS: Retrospective review of 159 eyes of 96 consecutive patients from the Duke Eye Center who underwent ...

SCANNING LASER OPHTHALMOSCOPY IN THE EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF VITREORETINAL INTERFACE SYNDROME

Retina, 1997
The purpose of this study was to estimate if and to what extent scanning laser ophthalmoscopy can help in the early diagnosis and follow-up management of the vitreoretinal interface syndrome, which includes disorders such as cellophane maculopathy, pseudomacular hole, macular pucker, and macular hole. The 35 fellow eyes of 35 patients with vitreoretinal

[Laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) and scanning laser ophthalmoscopy].

Der Ophthalmologe : Zeitschrift der Deutschen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft, 2005
To determine the influence of Laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) on the measurements of retinal thickness and optic nerve head topography using the Retinal Thickness Analyzer (RTA).RTA measurements were performed before and after LASIK. Forty-eight eyes of 25 healthy subjects were included. Mean age was 40.0+/-10.6 years. Mean preoperative refractive
