Piecewise Bivariate Hermite Interpolations for Large Sets of Scattered Data

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
The requirements for interpolation of scattered data are high accuracy and high efficiency. In this paper, a piecewise bivariate Hermite interpolant satisfying these requirements is proposed.

Construction of new cubic Bézier-like triangular patches with application in scattered data interpolation

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
This paper discusses the functional scattered data interpolation to interpolate the general scattered data. Compared with the previous works, we construct a new cubic Bézier-like triangular basis function controlled by three shape parameters.

Scattered coal is the largest source of ambient volatile organic compounds during the heating season in Beijing [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2020
We identified scattered coal burning as the largest contributor to ambient volatile organic compounds (VOCs), exceeding traffic-related emissions, during the heating season (the cold season when fossil fuel is burned for residential heating) in Beijing ...

The anti‐CRISPR protein AcrIE8.1 inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system by directly binding to the Cascade subunit Cas11

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

Cubic Bézier-Like Triangular Patches for Rainfall Scattered Data Interpolation and Visualization [PDF]

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences
Scattered data interpolation plays an important role in computer graphics and scientific visualization. This method can be used to interpolate any regular or irregular data sets. For instance, rainfall distribution is an example of an irregular data that

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...
