Adopting the Multiresolution Wavelet Analysis in Radial Basis Functions to Solve the Perona-Malik Equation [PDF]
Wavelets and radial basis functions (RBF) have ubiquitously proved very successful to solve different forms of partial differential equations (PDE) using shifted basis functions, and as with the other meshless methods, they have been extensively used in ...

Interpolating sparse scattered data using flow information [PDF]
Abstract Scattered data interpolation and approximation techniques allow for the reconstruction of a scalar field based upon a finite number of scattered samples of the field. In general, the fidelity of the reconstruction with respect to the original scalar field tends to deteriorate as the number of samples decreases.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Anisotropic Scattered Data Interpolation for Pushbroom Image Rectification
This paper deals with fast and accurate visualization of pushbroom image data from airborne and spaceborne platforms. A pushbroom sensor acquires images in a line-scanning fashion, and this results in scattered input data that need to be resampled onto a uniform grid for geometrically correct visualization. To this end, we model the anisotropic spatial

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

GPU-Accelerated Visualization of Scattered Point Data
As data sets continue to grow in size, visualization has become a vitally important tool for extracting meaningful knowledge. Scattered point data, which are unordered sets of point coordinates with associated measured values, arise in many contexts ...
