Field reduction and linear sets in finite geometry [PDF]
Based on the simple and well understood concept of subfields in a finite field, the technique called `field reduction' has proved to be a very useful and powerful tool in finite geometry. In this paper we elaborate on this technique.

Through-the-Wall Microwave Imaging: Forward and Inverse Scattering Modeling
The imaging of dielectric targets hidden behind a wall is addressed in this paper. An analytical solver for a fast and accurate computation of the forward scattered field by the targets is proposed, which takes into account all the interactions of the ...

Vietoris hyperspaces over scattered Priestley spaces
We study Vietoris hyperspaces of closed and closed final sets of Priestley spaces. We are particularly interested in Skula topologies. A topological space is \emph{Skula} if its topology is generated by differences of open sets of another topology. A compact Skula space is scattered and moreover has a natural well-founded ordering compatible with the ...

Scattered $P$-spaces of weight $\omega_1$
We examine dimensional types of scattered $P$-spaces of weight $\omega_1$. Such spaces can be embedded into $\omega_2$. There are established similarities between dimensional types of scattered separable metric spaces and dimensional types of $P$-spaces of weight $\omega_1$ with Cantor--Bendixson rank less than $\omega_1$.

Fibroma of the Peroneus Longus Tendon Sheath in a Child: A Case Report
Tendon sheath fibromas are rare, benign soft-tissue tumours and usually involve tendons of the upper extremities, particularly the fingers. The most common presentation is a painless, slow-growing swelling.

The object of the present paper is to introduce the concept of δ-scattered spaces as a natural generalization of the concept of scattered spaces. We prove that the concept of δ-scatteredness of the space coincides with scatteredness. It is noted that scattered need not be δ-scattered in general, also I-space are comparable with δ-scattered space.

Constructions of thin-tall Boolean spaces [PDF]
This is an expository paper about constructions of locally compact, Hausdorff, scattered spaces whose Cantor-Bendixson height has cardinality greater than their Cantor-Bendixson ...

The role of neighborhood morphology in enhancing thermal comfort and resident’s satisfaction
The unilateral development of built environments in cities leads to imbalances in climatic conditions and micro-climates, followed by indicators such as thermal comfort. Researchers identified the effect of urban morphology’s geometry, shape, orientation,

Scattered compactifications and the orderability of scattered spaces. II [PDF]
A space is suborderable if it is embeddable in a (totally) orderable space. It is shown that a suborderable scattered space is orderable and admits an orderable scattered compactification.
