The Complex Stone-Weierstrass Property
C(X) denotes the space of continuous complex-valued functions on the compact Hausdorff space X. X has the CSWP if every subalgebra of C(X) which separates points and contains the constant functions is dense in C(X). W.

Metric entropy, n-widths, and sampling of functions on manifolds
We first investigate on the asymptotics of the Kolmogorov metric entropy and nonlinear n-widths of approximation spaces on some function classes on manifolds and quasi-metric measure spaces. Secondly, we develop constructive algorithms to represent those

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Indicator selection combining audio and visual perception of urban green spaces
Recent studies revealed the importance of combined qualities of sound and the visual landscape for human well-being in urban green spaces (UGS). Yet, there is a lack of implementing urban design and management in urban green enviroments that promotes ...

Adaptive scattered data fitting by extension of local approximations to hierarchical splines
We introduce an adaptive scattered data fitting scheme as extension of local least squares approximations to hierarchical spline spaces. To efficiently deal with non-trivial data configurations, the local solutions are described in terms of (variable ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Countable Products of Scattered Paracompact Spaces [PDF]
In this paper we prove that the product of countably many scattered paracompact spaces is even ultraparacompact.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Study of the Architectural Structure and Water Supply System of the Hand-dug Bath in the Historical Village of Kahnamu, Osku County [PDF]
The hand-dug architecture of the foothills of the Sahand volcanic mountain is one of the lesser-known types of Iranian architecture that some of its landmarks have been partially studied.
