Indices of O-regular variation for weight functions and weight sequences

open access: yes, 2018
A plethora of spaces in Functional Analysis (Braun-Meise-Taylor and Carleman ultradifferentiable and ultraholomorphic classes; Orlicz, Besov, Lipschitz, Lebesque spaces, to cite the main ones) are defined by means of a weighted structure, obtained from a

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Transnational Subjectivities of Arab Artists in Europe

open access: yesCritical Stages, 2021
In the last five years, hundreds of performing artists from Arab countries have been scattered throughout neighbouring countries and Europe. In exile, these artists have been increasingly forced into old and new complexities of nationalism, incorporating

Spatial Pattern Characteristics of Urban Virtual-Real Vitality in the Digitization Context: A Case Study of Guangzhou

open access: yesRedai dili, 2023
With the rapid development of information technology and social media platforms, digitization has not only given rise to new types of urban vitality spaces but also profoundly changed traditional spatial forms and constructions through online and offline

Leibniz seminorms for "Matrix algebras converge to the sphere" [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In an earlier paper of mine relating vector bundles and Gromov-Hausdorff distance for ordinary compact metric spaces, it was crucial that the Lipschitz seminorms from the metrics satisfy a strong Leibniz property.

Chiral scatterers designed by Bayesian optimization

open access: yes, 2018
The helicity or chirality of scattered light is strongly linked to the dual symmetry of the scatterer. The latter depends on chiral materials or on scatterers which are not superimposable with their mirror image.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

READING MIXED BUILDINGS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF PUBLIC SPACE: THE CASE OF ZORLU CENTER

open access: yesDEPARCH Journal of Design Planning and Aesthetics Research, 2023
Mixed buildings bring together different functional units scattered throughout the city and show their users a new face of public space under a single roof.
