On fine structure of strings: the universal correction to the Veneziano amplitude

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We consider theories of weakly interacting higher spin particles in flat space-time. We focus on the four-point scattering amplitude at high energies and imaginary scattering angles. The leading asymptotic of the amplitude in this regime is universal and

Wilson Loops and QCD/String Scattering Amplitudes

open access: yes, 2009
We generalize modern ideas about the duality between Wilson loops and scattering amplitudes in ${\cal N}=4$ SYM to large $N$ QCD by deriving a general relation between QCD meson scattering amplitudes and Wilson loops.

On the acoustic scattering amplitude for a multi-layered Scatterer [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Australian Mathematical Society. Series B. Applied Mathematics, 1998
AbstractWe consider the boundary-value problems corresponding to the scattering of a time-harmonic acoustic plane wave by a multi-layered obstacle with a sound-soft, hard or penetrable core. Firstly, we construct in closed forms the normalized scattering amplitudes and prove the classical reciprocity and scattering theorems for these problems.

Cu‐Based MOF/TiO2 Composite Nanomaterials for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation and the Role of Copper

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Low-frequency acoustic scattering by an infinitely stratified scatterer [PDF]

open access: yesRendiconti di Matematica e delle Sue Applicazioni, 1995
In this work we consider the problem of scattering of a plane acoustic wave by an infinitely stratified scatterer with a soft, a rigid or a resistive core. Firstly, we prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions of this problem.

Decoding the Structure of Benzodithiophene Polymers for High‐Efficiency Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique solid mesophase in top‐performing benzodithiophene‐based polymers for solar cells, comprising stacked solid‐like and liquid‐like layers. Combining nanoscale fibrillar domains with amorphous regions, it introduces a new structural paradigm.

Four-graviton scattering to three loops in N = 8 $$ \mathcal{N}=8 $$ supergravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We compute the three-loop scattering amplitude of four gravitons in N = 8 $$ \mathcal{N}=8 $$ supergravity. Our results are analytic formulae for a Laurent expansion of the amplitude in the regulator of dimensional regularisation.

Heavy quarks in deeply virtual Compton scattering

open access: yes, 2003
A detailed study of the heavy quark h=c,b,... contributions to deeply virtual Compton scattering is performed at both the amplitude and the cross section level, and their phenomenological relevance is discussed.

Tuning the Hydrogen Bond Network Inside the Helmholtz Plane for Industrial Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The hydrogen bond network within the Helmholtz plane, a key component affecting the hydrogen evolution kinetics, remains far from having a consensus owing to the lack of fundamental understanding. Herein, it is discovered that the introduction of the atomic electric field generated by the weak Ru─Ga bonds can further improve the proportion of 4 ...
