Aharonov-Bohm scattering amplitude

The two principal approaches to the quantum-mechanical calculation of scattering by flux tubes in two spatial dimensions are reviewed and corrections made where needed. It is noted that even when appropriate care is taken the standard phase-shift method fails to agree with the (corrected) Aharonov-Bohm result. The discrepancy is resolved by noting that

Inelastic Scattering Amplitudes

New results from inelastic two‐body scattering reactions are reviewed. Although predictions of SU(3), factorization and simple Regge theory are found to be qualitatively in agreement with the data, direct channel or absorption effects afford the simplest interpretation of the detailed features of the scattering amplitudes.
