Simple analytical total diffuse reflectance over a reduced-scattering-pathlength scaled dimension of [10-5, 10-1] from a medium with HG scattering anisotropy.

Applied Optics, 2019
Model approximation is necessary for reflectance assessment of tissue at sub-diffusive to non-diffusive scale. For tissue probing over a sub-diffusive circular area centered on the point of incidence, we demonstrate simple analytical steady-state total ...

Spatially Resolved Lateral Transmission Measurements to Characterize Changes in the Scattering Coefficient and the Anisotropy Factor

Applied Spectroscopy, 2018
A new setup is described to characterize the scattering coefficient and the scattering phase function of liquid media. The setup utilizes the basic idea of a spatially resolved reflectance measurement combined with a sophisticated illumination geometry.

Significant Reorientation Transition of Magnetic Damping Anisotropy in Co2FeAl Heusler Alloy Films at Low Temperatures.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2022
The temperature (T) dependences of magnetization dynamics, especially for magnetic damping anisotropy, have been systematically investigated in well-ordered Co2FeAl films with a biaxial anisotropy.

Calculations of anisotropy factors for radionuclide neutron sources due to scattering from source encapsulation and support structures

Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2007
A model has been developed for calculating the angular neutron fluence distributions for radionuclide neutron sources that are heavily encapsulated or surrounded by source support structures as a source holder and a source movement system. These structures may cause an anisotropic neutron fluence distribution.

Determination of scattering coefficient considering wavelength and absorption dependence of anisotropy factor measured by polarized beam for biological tissues

SPIE Proceedings, 2015
Anisotropy factor g, one of the optical properties of biological tissues, is the most important parameter to accurately determine scattering coefficient μs in the inverse Monte Carlo (iMC) simulation. It has been reported that g has wavelength and absorption dependence, however, there are few attempts in order to calculate μs of biological tissue ...

Enhanced Raman scattering on two-dimensional palladium diselenide.

Nanoscale, 2022
Two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors with atomic layers, and a flat and active surface provide an attractive platform for the study of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS).

Anisotropy of partial structure factors in an unmixed Cu-Ni-Fe single crystal studied by anomalous small-angle X-ray scattering

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 1992
To study the anisotropy of phase separation in Cu-Ni-Fe alloys, small-angle X-ray scattering has been performed on a single-crystal foil. The 3D scattering pattern consists of an orientation-dependent ring. The intensity is a maximum along the (100)* and a minimum along the (111)* directions.
