Show your scattering coefficients
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2022Absorption and scattering coefficients of surfaces are crucial components of room-acoustic simulations. The random-incidence scattering coefficient is the most uncertain metric applied in geometrical acoustics. Databases of scattering coefficients are rare.

Elastic Scattering Coefficients
Imaging and Applied Optics 2016, 2016The notion of elastic scattering coefficients (ESC) is introduced to address a broad range of inverse scattering and imaging problems in elastic media. The link between scattering amplitudes and ESC of small inclusions is established.

Isotropic scattering coefficient of the solid earth
Geophysical Journal International, 2019The isotropic scattering model is a simple mathematical model of the radiative transfer theory (RTT) for the propagation of the wave energy density in random media.

Optical method to extract the reduced scattering coefficient from tissue: theory and experiments.
Optics Letters, 2018Tissues are considered challenging in terms of structure and composition analysis due to their tendency to multiple scatter the incident light. One of the most common theories for extracting optical properties of tissue is diffusion reflection (DR).

Decreased scattering coefficient of blue sclerae
Clinical Genetics, 1985The optical scattering properties of blue and normal sclerae were studied with a fiber optic scattering monitor. The scattering was clearly reduced in two osteogenesis imperfecta patients with blue sclerae, and low normal in one osteogenesis imperfecta patient without blue sclerae.

Inverse scattering: an illicit reflection coefficient
Inverse Problems, 1986A generalisation of the reflection coefficient that leads, via the Marchenko equation, to a \(\delta\)-distribution Schrödinger potential, is analysed. The case of the 'super-reflector' is considered and its anomalies are scrutinised.

Measurement of Scattering Coefficients
2011In the previous chapters, we saw how waves in composites behaved under various circumstances, depending on material anisotropy and wave propagation direction. The most important function that describes guided wave propagation, and the plate elastic behavior on which propagation depends, is the reflection coefficient (RC) or transmission coefficient (TC)

Light scattering from liquid surfaces: Ellipsometric coefficient
Physical Review A, 1982In this paper we discuss a theory of light reflection from a liquid in equilibrium with its vapor. We take into account the fluctuations of the Gibbs surface between the two phases and generalize the planar formula given by Drude for the ellipsometric coefficient.

Scattering coefficients and circuit analysis
14th IEE Microwave Measurements Training Course, 2005The talk introduces the concept of scattering, impedance and cascade parameters for microwave networks. Particular attention is given to the characteristic impedance and how it relates to network measurements. Signal flow graphs is also considered. (13 pages)
