Different Characteristics of New Particle Formation Events at Two Suburban Sites in Northern China

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2017
The formation of new atmospheric aerosol particles and their subsequent growth have been observed under different environmental conditions globally; such observations are few over northwest China. Here, we present an analysis of some case studies for new

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

On Iterative Algorithms for Quantitative Photoacoustic Tomography in the Radiative Transport Regime

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, we describe the numerical reconstruction method for quantitative photoacoustic tomography (QPAT) based on the radiative transfer equation (RTE), which models light propagation more accurately than diffusion approximation (DA).

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

The Impact of Tilburg Frailty on Poststroke Fatigue in First‐Ever Stroke Patients: A Cross‐Sectional Study With Unified Measurement Tools and Improved Statistics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Poststroke fatigue (PSF) and frailty share substantial overlap in their manifestations, yet previous research has yielded conflicting results due to the use of heterogeneous frailty assessment tools. Objective To evaluate the independent impact of frailty on PSF using a unified measurement system (Tilburg Frailty Indicator, TFI ...

Scattering length of the ground state Mg+Mg collision [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We have constructed the X 1SIGMAg+ potential for the collision between two ground state Mg atoms and analyzed the effect of uncertainties in the shape of the potential on scattering properties at ultra-cold temperatures.

Accelerated Progression of Gait Impairment in Parkinson's Disease and REM Sleep Without Atonia

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective People with Parkinson's disease (PD) and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep without atonia (RSWA) often have more severe gait disturbances compared to PD without RSWA. The association between the presence and expression of RSWA and the rate of progression of gait impairment in PD is unknown.

The Influences of Environmental Factors on the Microwave Scattering Coefficient from the Sea Surface

open access: yesRemote Sensing
The relationship between the microwave scattering coefficient from the sea surface and wind field has been extensively studied. Nevertheless, recent research on air–sea coupling has shown that sea–air temperature difference (SATD) also significantly ...

Computation of the Attenuated Backscattering Coefficient by the Backscattering Lidar Signal Simulator (BLISS) in the Framework of the CALIOP/CALIPSO Observations

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2023
This paper presents the Backscattering Lidar Signal Simulator (BLISS), an end-to-end lidar simulator developed by the Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES). We computed the constant multiple-scattering (MS) coefficient of BLISS with a Monte Carlo (MC)
