Scattering matrices and expansion coefficients of Martian analogue palagonite particles
We present measurements of ratios of elements of the scattering matrix of Martian analogue palagonite particles for scattering angles ranging from 3 to 174 degrees and a wavelength of 632.8 nm.

Small-Energy Analysis for the Selfadjoint Matrix Schroedinger Operator on the Half Line
The matrix Schroedinger equation with a selfadjoint matrix potential is considered on the half line with the most general selfadjoint boundary condition at the origin.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Scattering cross section resonance originating from a spectral singularity
Using techniques of supersymmetric quantum mechanics, scattering properties of Hermitian Hamiltonians, which are related to non-Hermitian ones by similarity transformations, are studied.

Distortion matrix concept for deep optical imaging in scattering media
The distortion matrix overcomes aberrations and multiple scattering, thereby enabling ultradeep and wide-field optical imaging. In optical imaging, light propagation is affected by the inhomogeneities of the medium.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Emergent causality and the N-photon scattering matrix in waveguide QED
In this work we discuss the emergence of approximate causality in a general setup from waveguide QED—i.e. a one-dimensional propagating field interacting with a scatterer.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Scattering characterization of obliquely oriented buildings (OOBs) from polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (PolSAR) data is challenging since the general double-bounce scattering does not support their dominant scattering mechanism.
