Triple scattering parameters

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1978
This paper describes measurements, made at TRIUMF, of triple scattering parameters in proton‐proton and neutron‐proton elastic scattering.

A new multiple scattering parameter

Il Nuovo Cimento, 1955
A new parameter is proposed for the characterization of the multiple scattering observed in tracks of charged particles. This parameter is the mean value of the cosine of a constant times the projected scattering angle. The theoretical relation between the mean value of the cosine parameter and the momentum-velocity productpβ of the particle can be ...

Scattering (S−) Parameters

2018
S-parameters are another means for describing multi-port networks. The scattering matrix ties port reflected/transmitted waves to incident ones. The waves have units of square root of power and have direct relations to terminal voltages and current.

Scattering Parameter Characterization

2015
Recent developments of the performance of OTFTs in the past few years have led to a renewed interest in characterizing their AC electrical properties using a self-contained method.

Four-terminal-pair impedances and scattering parameters

Measurement Science and Technology, 2003
The calibration of modern automatic RLC bridges requires a set of impedance standards. Each standard needs in turn a calibration, i.e. the knowledge of its four-terminal-pair impedance Z4TP at frequencies up to 10–100 MHz—frequencies beyond the capabilities of standard metrological setups for impedance traceability (transformer bridges). It is possible

Radar Measurements and Scatterer Parameters

2013
Basic knowledge on the theory of electromagnetic wave scattering, radar measurements, and methods of estimating the scatterer parameters are the theme of this chapter. The main scatterers concerned are water and ice particles, and Bragg scatterers generated by perturbations of radar refractive index due to turbulence of the atmosphere. First, basics of

Low-energy parameters in nonrelativistic scattering theory

Annals of Physics, 1983
The authors consider the low-energy behaviour of Schrödinger operators with short-range or Coulomb-type plus short-range potentials. Based on expansions of the short-range scattering amplitude with respect to low energy E in a Laurent series around \(E=0\) explicit expressions for low- energy parameter like scattering length and effective range ...

Spin asymmetry parameters for electron-hydrogen scattering. I. Elastic scattering

Journal of Physics B: Atomic and Molecular Physics, 1986
An attempt is made to provide accurate results for the elastic spin asymmetry parameter in the energy range 0.14-300 eV. A comparison of the present work with other sophisticated calculations at 54.4 and 100 eV shows a significant difference which is attributed to the importance of including exchange couplings to all target eigenstates even at energies

Scattering Parameter Measurement Techniques in Microstrip

1972 IEEE GMTT International Microwave Symposium, 1972
Measurements are made on microstrip waveguides with coaxial-to-microstrip wave transitions, by means of a sliding obstacle method, and S-parameters of the transitions and the microstrip are derived for a range of frequencies from 1 to 11 GHz.

Impact Parameter Representation of the Scattering Amplitude

Canadian Journal of Physics, 1971
From the Lippmann–Schwinger equation, the exact and different approximate relations for the impact parameter form of the total scattering amplitude on- and off-the-energy shell are derived. The relation between the impact parameter phase shift and the range of potential is studied, and several methods of determining the potential from the impact ...
