Scenario A: The reference scenario
1987In this chapter the ‘Reference Scenario Ageing’ is discussed. A reference scenario serves as a background against which one or more other scenarios can be viewed. A reference scenario can assume the form of a trend scenario. In this instance, existing development trends are extrapolated into the future.
