The effect of depressant sesbania gum on the flotation of a talc-containing scheelite ore

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2019
Sodium silicate (SS) has been widely used as a depressant for the scheelite flotation. However, low selectivity and large amount of SS remains a tough problem.

The depression behavior and mechanism of carboxymethyl chitosan on calcite flotation

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2019
The separation of scheelite and calcite by froth flotation is difficulty as these two minerals have similar physicochemical characteristics. To solve this problem, the role of carboxymethyl chitosan in the flotation separation of scheelite from calcite ...

Phosphorus sorption potential of natural adsorbent materials from a Brazil semiarid region to control eutrophication

open access: yesActa Limnologica Brasiliensia, 2021
: Aim The aim of the present study was to evaluate the potential soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP) sorption of three natural P adsorbents (Luvisol, Planosol, and Scheelite tailing) from Brazil’s semiarid region.

Research Progress with Scheelite Flotation Reagents: A Review

open access: yes, 2023
With the depletion of easily mined and separated wolframite, scheelite has become the primary source of tungsten. Flotation is the primary technique used to enrich scheelite. However, flotation separation of scheelite from calcium-bearing gangue minerals,

Transition Metal Compounds as Thermochromic Materials: Classification, Properties, Limitations, and Applications

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This review systematically examines how different transition metal compounds—such as binary and multinary metal oxides, halides, sulfides, and salts—exhibit thermochromism based on the d‐electron configurations of their transition metal cations. It focuses on three main mechanisms of thermochromism: phase transition, charge transfer, and bandgap change.

Selective Flotation of Scheelite and Calcite [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
The gold tailings from Gold Fields containing low scheelite values has a compled mineralogy with hornblende, quartz, arsenopyrite and calcite as major gangue minerals.

Structures of Pb-BHA Complexes Adsorbed on Scheelite Surface

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2019
Previous studies have shown that Pb-BHA complexes (lead complexes of benzohydroxamic acid) have better collecting ability and can be used in flotation experiments with BHA acting as a collector and lead ions acting as activators.

Constructed Red Phosphorus/BiVO4 S‐Scheme Heterojunction for Efficient Photocatalytic Overall Water Splitting

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
An S‐scheme red phosphorus/BiVO4 heterojunction is presented, where red phosphorus served as the water reduction site, and BiVO4 functioned as the water oxidation site. Because it has a built‐in electric field that helps charge transfer and separation, red phosphorus/BiVO4 works very well in the photocatalytic overall water splitting process.

Electrochemical Properties of Cs and La Co-doped CaWO4 Oxide Ion Conductor

open access: yesElectrochemistry, 2022
To clarify the contribution of defect structure of CaWO4-based system on the oxide ion conduction properties, we doped both cesium and lanthanum ions into CaWO4 as Ca0.9CsxLa0.1−xWO4.05−x.

Lattice and Surface Engineering of Transition Metal Oxide Photoanodes for Efficient Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This review highlights phase control, facet control, and atomic vacancy engineering as key strategies to enhance charge transport, light harvesting, and surface activity in PEC photoanodes. ABSTRACT Photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting is a promising approach for converting solar energy into hydrogen, yet the performance of transition metal oxide
