Scheimpflug Camera-Based Technique for Multi-Point Displacement Monitoring of Bridges

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Owing to the limited field of view (FOV) and depth of field (DOF) of a conventional camera, it is quite difficult to employ a single conventional camera to simultaneously measure high-precision displacements at many points on a bridge of dozens or ...

Review of Calibration Methods for Scheimpflug Camera [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sensors, 2018
The Scheimpflug camera offers a wide range of applications in the field of typical close-range photogrammetry, particle image velocity, and digital image correlation due to the fact that the depth-of-view of Scheimpflug camera can be greatly extended according to the Scheimpflug condition. Yet, the conventional calibration methods are not applicable in

Incidence and prevalence of keratoconus based on Scheimpflug imaging.

open access: yesOphthalmology, 2022
The prevalence of keratoconus (Belin/Ambrόsio Enhanced Ectasia Display Score ≥2.6 on Scheimpflug imaging) in a longitudinal, community cohort study from Western Australia was 3.4% (n=26/755). Keratoconus incidence over an 8-year period was 2.2% (n=15/669)

Scheimpflug Lidar for combustion diagnostics [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Express, 2018
A portable Lidar system developed for large-scale (~1-20 m) combustion diagnostics is described and demonstrated. The system is able to perform remote backscattering measurements with range and temporal resolution. The range resolution is obtained by sharply imaging a part of the laser beam onto a CMOS-array or ICCD detector.

Improvement of Scheimpflug systems with freeform surfaces

open access: yesApplied Optics, 2018
It is well known that freeform surfaces are used to improve the resolution in systems without rotational symmetry. For Scheimpflug systems, the tilted object plane leads to variant magnification in the system imaging. Thus, the system suffers from non-rotationally symmetric aberrations, non-uniform resolution, and non-uniform intensity distribution. In

The Scheimpflug lidar method

open access: yesLidar Remote Sensing for Environmental Monitoring 2017, 2017
The recent several years we developed the Scheimpflug lidar method. We combined an invention from the 19th century with modern optoelectronics such as diode lasers and CMOS array from the 21st century. The approach exceeds expectations of background suppression, sensitivity and resolution beyond known from time-of-flight lidars.
