Scheimpflug Versus Optical Coherence Tomography to Detect Subclinical Corneal Edema in Fuchs Endothelial Corneal Dystrophy

Cornea, 2021
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to compare the ability of Scheimpflug and anterior segment optical coherence tomography (OCT) in detecting subclinical corneal edema in patients with Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD) without clinical ...

Accuracy of Scheimpflug-derived corneal biomechanical and tomographic indices for detecting subclinical and mild keratectasia in a South Asian population.

Journal of cataract and refractive surgery, 2019
PURPOSE To test the predictive accuracy of the Belin-Ambrósio deviation index (BAD-D), the stiffness parameter A1 (SPA1), the Corvis biomechanical index (CBI), and the tomographic and biomechanical index (TBI) assessments for distinguishing subclinical ...

Corneal Densitometry Assessed With Scheimpflug Camera in Healthy Corneas and Correlation With Specular Microscopy Values and Age

Cornea, 2021
Purpose: To investigate correlations between specular microscopy endothelial parameters and age with corneal densitometry values, as they are presented from a Scheimpflug device, in different levels of the cornea. Methods: Two hundred eighty-four eyes of

The Scheimpflug lidar method

Lidar Remote Sensing for Environmental Monitoring 2017, 2017
The recent several years we developed the Scheimpflug lidar method. We combined an invention from the 19th century with modern optoelectronics such as diode lasers and CMOS array from the 21st century. The approach exceeds expectations of background suppression, sensitivity and resolution beyond known from time-of-flight lidars.

Scheimpflug Densitometry in Keratoconus: A New Method of Visualizing the Cone

Cornea, 2020
Purpose: To report an observation made while performing Scheimpflug densitometry analysis on the corneal region affected in keratoconus (KC) that seems to delineate the base of the cone. Methods: Scheimpflug densitometries of 20 healthy subjects and 90 patients with KC were examined.

Improvement of Scheimpflug systems with freeform surfaces

Applied Optics, 2018
It is well known that freeform surfaces are used to improve the resolution in systems without rotational symmetry. For Scheimpflug systems, the tilted object plane leads to variant magnification in the system imaging. Thus, the system suffers from non-rotationally symmetric aberrations, non-uniform resolution, and non-uniform intensity distribution. In

Agreement between two swept-source OCT biometers and a Scheimpflug partial coherence interferometer.

Journal of cataract and refractive surgery, 2020
PURPOSE To evaluate the agreement between different parameters obtained with two swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT)-based biometers and one Scheimpflug camera with partial coherence interferometry (PCI).

Measurement repeatability of the dynamic Scheimpflug analyzer

Japanese Journal of Ophthalmology, 2017
To evaluate the repeatability of corneal deformation parameters measured using a dynamic Scheimpflug analyzer and the impact of baseline clinical factors on the repeatability of each parameter.Retrospective, cross-sectional study.Forty-eight eyes (48 healthy subjects; mean age, 49.0 ± 19.5 years) underwent repeated examinations with the Scheimpflug ...
