Remote Nanoscopy with Infrared Elastic Hyperspectral Lidar

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 10, Issue 15, May 26, 2023., 2023
A new elastic hyperspectral Scheimpflug lidar that can simultaneously resolve flashes from insect wings in range, time, and wavelength is demonstrated. The coherent scattering from a distant museum insect wing and also from free‐flying insects is captured.

Theoretical Analysis and Experimental Validation of Sampling Volume in Tilted Imaging System

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2015
A method for accurately calculating the sampling volume in a tilted imaging system is proposed. Two types of tilted imaging systems are investigated, i.e., Type I (only the object plane is inclined to the optical axis) and Type II (both the object plane ...

Applications of KHZ-CW Lidar in Ecological Entomology

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
The benefits of kHz lidar in ecological entomology are explained. Results from kHz-measurements on insects, carried out with a CW-lidar system, employing the Scheimpflug principle to obtain range resolution, are presented.

Exploring the Impact of Refractive and Ocular Residual Astigmatism on Stereopsis After Photorefractive Keratectomy in Patients With Myopic Astigmatism

open access: yesJournal of Ophthalmology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Background To investigate the impact of refractive and ocular residual astigmatism (ORA) on stereopsis after photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) for the correction of myopic astigmatism. Methods This prospective observational study was conducted on patients who underwent PRK for the treatment of myopia and myopic astigmatism using a Schwind Amaris 1050RS

Adverse Outcome Pathways Applied to Space Radiation Research

open access: yesEnvironmental and Molecular Mutagenesis, Volume 66, Issue 8, Page 442-462, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Long‐duration spaceflight exposes astronauts to various stressors that can alter human physiology, potentially causing immediate and long‐term health effects. These stressors can damage biomolecules, cells, tissues, and organs, leading to adverse outcomes.

Ocular changes as potential biomarkers for early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue 8, August 2025.
Abstract Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder and the most common cause of dementia. AD diagnosis often involves a thorough assessment, including clinical evaluation, cognitive testing, medical history examination, genetic testing, and biomarker analysis. Currently, the invasive nature and high costs of biomarker testing,
