Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

A low diffusion E-CUSP (LDE) scheme for preconditioned Navier-Stokes equations is developed. The LDE scheme with high-order WENO reconstruction and high order difference scheme for viscous terms is used to simulate several flows at various speed from low

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Picard schemes of acyclic schemes
In his work extending rational simple connectedness to schemes with higher Picard rank, Yi Zhu introduced hypotheses for schemes insuring that the relative Picard functor is representable and is étale locally constant with finite free stalks. We give examples showing that one cannot eliminate any of the hypotheses and still have a representable Picard ...

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Policy issues for the Community Development Employment Projects scheme in rural and remote Australia [PDF]
One of the most important programs for Indigenous community and economic development is the Community Development Employment Projects (CDEP) scheme. CDEP employs around 35,000 Indigenous Australians and accounts for over one-quarter of total Indigenous ...

An Efficient RSA Public Key Encryption Scheme
In this paper, we propose an efficient RSA public key encryption scheme, which is an improved version of original RSA scheme. The proposed RSA encryption scheme is based on linear group over the ring of integer mod a composite modulus n which is the ...
