ICU‐EEG Pattern Detection by a Convolutional Neural Network
ABSTRACT Objective Patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) often require continuous EEG (cEEG) monitoring due to the high risk of seizures and rhythmic and periodic patterns (RPPs). However, interpreting cEEG in real time is resource‐intensive and heavily relies on specialized expertise, which is not always available.

A Probabilistic Numerical Method for Fully Nonlinear Parabolic PDEs
We consider the probabilistic numerical scheme for fully nonlinear PDEs suggested in \cite{cstv}, and show that it can be introduced naturally as a combination of Monte Carlo and finite differences scheme without appealing to the theory of backward ...

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

The unrolling of the peltate leaves in Syngonium podophyllum is analyzed and quantified (left‐hand side to center). These measurements serve to verify a mathematical model for leaf unrolling based on the model used in Schmidt (2007). An additional formula for obtaining a layer mismatch from a prescribed radius is derived.
