The preparation, characterization and biological activity of palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes of tridentate NNS ligands derived from S-methyl- and S-benzyldithiocarbazates and the X-ray crystal structure of the [Pd(mpasme)Cl] complex. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
New complexes of general formula, [M(NNS)Cl] (M = PdII, PtII; NNS = anionic forms of the 6-methyl-2-formylpyridine Schiff bases of S-methyl- and S-benzyldithiocarbazates) have been prepared and characterized by a variety of physico-chemical techniques ...

Evaluating Cytocompatibility of Corynebacterium glutamicum‐poly Vinyl Alcohol Living Biomaterials for Ocular Use

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
In ophthalmology, living biomaterials such as living contact lenses appear promising for sustained drug delivery or biosensing. The cytocompatibility of Cg‐PVA hydrogels, developed as a model living contact lens, is investigated with the ocular surface, showing their potential translation to the clinic.

A Biomimetic Buffering Hydrogel Scaffold for Long‐Term Culture of Patient‐Derived Tumor Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A biomimetic fibrous buffering hydrogel controls the local acidification at the tumoroid/hydrogel interface at the physiologically relevant level over 21‐day culture. The buffering effect promotes cancer cell proliferation in the tumoroids and supports the structural integrity and mechanical properties of the hydrogel scaffold over long‐term tumoroid ...

Syntheses, Characterization, Antioxidant Activity, and Toxicity Evaluation of Schiff Base Derivates from O-Vanillin [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Chemistry Research
Three Schiff bases (1a, 1b, and 1c) have been prepared from the reaction of o-vanillin with primary amine (aniline, p-toluidine, and p-anisidine). Schiff base derivates from o-vanillin were synthesized using the grinding method for 20 minutes.
