Spirocyclopropane-type sesquiterpene hydrocarbons from Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi
Phytochemistry, 2010The essential oil of Schinus terebinthifolius fruits was reinvestigated using GC and GC-MS techniques. Apart from several known compounds three sesquiterpene hydrocarbons with a carbon skeleton exhibiting the rare spiro(cyclopropane) moiety could be isolated by a combination of column chromatography and GLC.

Alleviation of iron toxicity in Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi (Anacardiaceae) by humic substances
Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2018One of the industrial pillars of Espírito Santo state, South East of Brazil, is iron-mining products processing. This activity brings to a high level of coastal pollution due to deposition of iron particulate on fragile ecosystems as mangroves and restinga. Schinus therebinthifolius (aroeira) is a widespread restinga species.
