pH dependence thermal stability of a chymotrypsin inhibitor from Schizolobium parahyba seeds. [PDF]
The thermal stability of a Schizolobium parahyba chymotrypsin inhibitor (SPCI) as a function of pH has been investigated using fluorescence, circular dichroism, and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The thermodynamic parameters derived from all methods are remarkably similar and strongly suggest the high stability of SPCI under a wide range of ...

GROWTH OF PLANTS OF Schizolobium parahyba (Vell.) Blake. SUBMITTED TO SHADING LEVELS
The study of the growth and development of a plant under different environmental conditions offers the researcher a good clue as to which are the best conditions to grow a particular species.

Effects of Schizolobium parahyba extract on experimental Bothrops venom-induced acute kidney injury. [PDF]
Venom-induced acute kidney injury (AKI) is a frequent complication of Bothrops snakebite with relevant morbidity and mortality. The aim of this study was to assess the effects of Schizolobium parahyba (SP) extract, a natural medicine with presumed anti-Bothrops venom effects, in an experimental model of Bothrops jararaca venom (BV)-induced AKI.Groups ...

Abstract The application of biochar to strongly weathered soils is thought to supply nutrients and improve nutrient retention. We hypothesized that biochar increases (a) total N, bioavailable macronutrient (NH4–N, P, K, Ca, Mg), micronutrient (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu), and plant‐beneficial Na concentrations; and (b) nutrient retention in the topsoil.

Commodity risk assessment of Juglans regia plants from Turkey
Abstract The European Commission requested the EFSA Panel on Plant Health to prepare and deliver risk assessments for commodities listed in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2019 as ‘High risk plants, plant products and other objects’. This Scientific Opinion covers the plant health risks posed by 2‐year‐old grafted bare rooted plants for ...

Abstract The literature suggests that biochar increases the fertility of degraded, nutrient‐poor tropical soils. We hypothesized that the addition of biochar (a) increases tree growth in two plantations on Ultisols in the south Ecuadorian Amazon region, (b) reduces litterfall during the dry season because the soil remains moister, and (c) improves the ...

Commodity risk assessment of Persea americana from Israel
Abstract The EFSA Panel on Plant health was requested to prepare and deliver risk assessments for commodities listed in the relevant Implementing Acts as ‘High risk plants, plant products and other objects’ (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2019 establishing a provisional list of high risk plants, plant products or other objects, within the

The experiment was carried out in a seedling nursery of Federal University of Tocantins - Campus Gurupi. The treatments were into a 2x5 factorial scheme, the first referring to two methods of HS application and the second five doses. The parameters here evaluated were: plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves and leaflets, stem dry mass, leaves ...
