Velocity Mapping of an H2 − O2 Exhaust Jet in Air by Means of Schlieren Image Velocimetry (SIV)
Visualization methods have always been used to inspect flows that are invisible to the naked eye. Seedless velocimetry has been regarded as an alternative to other intrusive quantitative methods and adapted to fit many applications in the industrial or ...

Growth of shocked gaseous interfaces in a conical geometry [PDF]
The results of experiments on Richtmyer-Meshkov instability growth of multimode initial perturbations on an air-sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) interface in a conical geometry are presented. The experiments are done in a relatively larger shock tube.

Visualization of fiberizing-jet by Schlieren
Ceramic fibers that use as heat insulating materials for high-temperature furnace are produced in the process that a high-speed jet blows molten ceramic dropping from a furnace. The insulation performance is improved with longer length of the fibers and with lower content of spherical shots that solidifies without fiberization.

Physically-based interactive schlieren flow visualization
Understanding fluid flow is a difficult problemand of increasing importance as computational fluid dynamics produces an abundance of simulation data. Experimental flow analysis has employed techniques such as shadowgraph and schlieren imaging for centuries which allow empirical observation of inhomogeneous flows.

Visualization of Ambient Mass Spectrometry with the Use of Schlieren Photography [PDF]
This manuscript outlines how to visualize mass spectrometry ambient ionization sources using schlieren photography. In order to properly optimize the mass spectrometer, it is necessary to characterize and understand the physical principles of the source.
