pure and applied geophysics, 1970A formula has been devised and tested for determining the absolute resistivities of subsurface layers. Three case studies have been made for testing the validity of the formula. The absolute resistivities, have been determined from the slope of the segments of the curve and calculated by intercept method.

Summary Teluk Betung area is an area in the southern coastal of Bandar Lampung city directly adjacent to the sea. Based on a survey of residents wells in the area, indicating that the groundwater in this area has been contaminated by seawater (brackish) so it is not suitable for consumption.
