Mass spectrometry based identification of AMP‐O‐Tris generated by Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Isolated Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10 generates the noncanonical ATP‐derived product AMP‐O‐Tris while in Tris‐containing buffer as identified via mass spectrometry, revealing relaxed nucleophile selectivity under isolated conditions. These findings suggest that multiprotein Csm complex assembly restricts Cas10 reactivity toward canonical cyclic ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Economies of School-Building: the Selling of Architectural and Educational Futures

open access: yesArdeth, 2018
To access more capital, more quickly, governments seek new sources of finance to fund school-building including loans and Public Private Partnerships. The paper uses examples principally from England and Italy to argue that architecture is now central in

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Emerging insights into CC and CXC chemokines and their receptors in Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dual roles of CC and CXC chemokines in distinguishing active, latent, and subclinical tuberculosis were reviewed, along with an evaluation of their potential as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets to advance precision medicine in tuberculosis management. The graphical abstract was generated with AI assistance (Gemini 3.0).

School of Nepalese Architecture

open access: yesJournal of Innovations in Engineering Education, 2019
Architecture is an art of creation for the shelter of human beings. The shelter is called a secured place by the fierce animals, natural calamity, and with complete privacy. The school of architecture is distinguished in its use of construction material, skill, techniques, technology, form including the aspiration of the human being on the geographical

Hyperosmotic stress‐induced redistribution of pre‐mRNA cleavage factor I subunits is associated with shifts in alternative polyadenylation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...
