The legacy of past droughts induces water‐sparingly behaviour in Grüner Veltliner grapevines

Grapevines with a drought history showed increased water use efficiency in a non‐water‐limited season, in coordination with morpho‐anatomical modifications of leaf, xylem anatomy and stomata, suggesting significant drought legacies.
