Polarization and Gorenstein liaison
Abstract A major open question in the theory of Gorenstein liaison is whether or not every arithmetically Cohen–Macaulay subscheme of Pn$\mathbb {P}^n$ can be G‐linked to a complete intersection. Migliore and Nagel showed that if such a scheme is generically Gorenstein (e.g., reduced), then, after re‐embedding so that it is viewed as a subscheme of Pn ...

Billey's formula in combinatorics, geometry, and topology [PDF]
In this expository paper we describe a powerful combinatorial formula and its implications in geometry, topology, and algebra. This formula first appeared in the appendix of a book by Andersen, Jantzen, and Soergel.

Employee Diversity and Environmental Innovation: The Roles of Gender, Nationality, and Education
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the roles of employee diversity for environmental innovations in firms. Utilizing firm‐level survey data on environmental innovations and employer–employee register data, we construct measures of employee diversity across education, nationality, and gender for over 6500 Swedish firms.

Hearing a Feeling: Music Emotion Recognition and Callous‐Unemotional Traits in Early Childhood
ABSTRACT Music is a powerful medium to study emotion recognition. However, findings are mixed regarding the proficiency of young children to detect emotion conveyed by music. Moreover, we lack knowledge about music emotion recognition and callous‐unemotional traits, which portend risk for externalizing problems.

Existence and orthogonality of stable envelopes for bow varieties
Abstract Stable envelopes, introduced by Maulik and Okounkov, provide a family of bases for the equivariant cohomology of symplectic resolutions. They are part of a fascinating interplay between geometry, combinatorics and integrable systems. In this expository article, we give a self‐contained introduction to cohomological stable envelopes of type A$A$

Tower tableaux and Schubert polynomials
We prove that the well-known condition of being a balanced labeling can be characterized in terms of the sliding algorithm on tower diagrams. The characterization involves a generalization of authors' Rothification algorithm. Using the characterization, we obtain descriptions of Schubert polynomials and Stanley symmetric functions.

Combinatorics of Schubert Polynomials
94 pages ; In this thesis, we study several aspects of the combinatorics of various important families of polynomials, particularly focusing on Schubert polynomials. Schubert polynomials arise as distinguished representatives of cohomology classes in the cohomology ring of the flag variety.

Scalable Gecko‐Inspired Adhesives via Diffraction‐Grated Molds: A Low‐Cost, Directional PDMS System
Using diffraction gratings as master molds, we fabricated adhesives with nanoscale patterned surfaces confirmed by SEM. These structures significantly enhance directional adhesion, demonstrating a scalable approach to develop bioinspired adhesives with improved performance for robotic and biomedical applications.
