Schwannomas of the falx

Surgical Neurology, 1990
A case of multiple schwannomas arising from the falx in a 17-year-old girl, previously operated on for an intracerebral schwannoma, is presented. The appearance of multiple schwannomas has to be considered in the followup of the rare cases of intracranial schwannomas not related to cranial nerves.

Schwannoma of the clitoris

Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, 2002
Schwannoma is a tumor of the peripheral nerve sheath, which rarely affects the female genitalia. These tumors are often associated with von Recklinghuasen neurofibromatosis; however, they have also been reported in patients without that disease, and its most common location is the posterior mediastinum, the retroperitoneum, the head and neck, and the ...

Olfactory schwannoma

Acta Neurochirurgica, 2007
We report a case of olfactory schwannoma with calcification. Intraoperative findings indicated that the tumour originated from the olfactory groove. Intraoperative findings of previous studies have not indicated a clear relationship between subfrontal schwannoma and the olfactory nerve, which seems strange, given the association between tumours and ...

Schwannoma of penis

Urology, 1980
Schwannomas may occur anywhere in the body, but their occurrence in the penis is rare and unusual. These tumors are important to urologists because findings mimic other urologic disease. Treatment is surgical removal; they are rarely multifocal and seldom metastasize. A patient with schwannomas of the penis is described.

Schwannoma of the Breast

Southern Medical Journal, 1996
Schwannoma arising within breast parenchyma is rare. We report such a case in a 50-year-old woman. The tumor, which measured 7 mm, is the smallest and the only mammographically detected schwannoma of the breast thus far reported. Clinicians should be aware that this benign tumor of breast may simulate a malignant neoplasm clinically as well as ...

A rare case of benign diaphragmatic schwannoma in a 50-year-old woman is reported. The 8-cm tumor was located in the right diaphragm. This well-circumscribed tumor highly depressed the liver. Complete extirpation of the tumor was performed, and pathology examination revealed that the benign schwannoma had originated from the diaphragm.

Schwannoma of the Orbit

Ophthalmologica, 1984
Schwannoma of the orbit is an encapsulated, benign, noninvasive, slow-growing nerve sheath tumor which, when large enough, causes exophthalmos, optic neuropathy, diplopia, anterior orbital mass or sinusitis. An orbital schwannoma in a 84-year-old man with infiltration of the os spenoidale is reported. Schwannoma may arise anywhere within or adjacent to
